Sadly the court system is under tremendous strain, and is often failing parties who turn to it.
My client’s finances are entirely contained within a property the other side refuse to sell despite us having won a trial ordering just that.
Today should have been the enforcement hearing, but after hours of back and forth with the court, a last minute unworkable change of hearing time, and emails confirming that a judge was available, the hearing was vacated.
Sensibly, my solicitor suggested a conference as I was already booked for court.
If you have a hearing booked which comes out, please speak with your barrister or their clerk. It may be possible – as I have often done – to arrange a loose negotiation meeting between counsel at court, or a conference, or something to move the case forward.
