WHICH COURT – Family Court at Medway.
OUTCOME – After hearing the evidence from both parties and the additional witnesses, on the last day of the final hearing, Emma was able to successfully negotiate a settlement between the parties, prior to the judgment being given later that day. Due to the additional items that were agreed between the parties that the judge could not order, the settlement was deemed better for the parties than any order he could have made.
INTERESTING POINTS – Negotiations can still take place when you are at a final hearing. Reaching an agreement on the last day when judgment was due to be given was not too late.
